West End Property swap finalised

February 21st, 2008 | by Adam Lucking |

A £357.6m property swap between Great Portland Estates and Capital & Counties with Crown Estate in London’s West End has now been completed.

The deal is thought to provide both parties with considerable development opportunities and is the fifth property swap that the Crown Estate has completed on Regent Street since 2002. It also represents around 70% of its recent transactions.

Head of strategy and development at the Crown Estate, David Shaw, said that they now have over 1 million sq ft of development potential on Regent Street, and this can be used for stores, modern offices and residential space over the next ten years.
