West End office space demand still strong
July 10th, 2008 | by James WelchWest End office space demand is showing signs of sustainable levels even through the projected troublesome times in the business world.
Being the most expensive office space location in the world, a report from Knight Frank, showed that despite fears, the take-up of space for April to June was similar to 2007 figures. An increase of around 30% was seen over January to March, culminating in over 1.4m sq ft of office space let.
It seems that demand from financial firms taking up more space in the area and a recent deal involving Marks & Spencer have helped to improve the amount of office space take-up in the area.
It was expected that many fund managers would have left the area following the credit crunch. In fact, its the case that more are actually moving to the area.
