Regus profits increase 39%

Profits in Regus rose an impressive 39% as the company announced strong half-year profits last week.
With the announcement of Regus moving to Luxembourg, these remarkable results seemed to have got lost in the post somewhat.
Pre-tax profits increased to £75.5m for the first six months of this year with the group’s revenue growing 23% to £507.5m. The company now boasts over 160,000 workstations in it’s worldwide network of office space.
Regus said it’s outlook was unchanged in a statement that read,
“Looking towards 2009, while we are now seeing a softening in one or two of our leading indicators, we believe our business model with its broad range of customers and geographies and the flexibility in its cost base and lease portfolio is well placed to meet these challenges,”
What does Choregus think?
Clearly these are impressive results and show that, despite the credit crunch, there is a real opportunity for the serviced office industry to grow. Everyone in the industry should take heart from this news, the industry is STILL in it’s infancy and there is plenty of growth to come over the next few years whether the financial situation worsens or not.
