Regus Office Space Review

February 28th, 2008 | by Simon Rattray

regusRegus are the biggest Office space serviced office serviced officesserviced office company in the world, but are they the best? And do they offer good value for money?

Here at Choregus we have been searching the internet to find out what people have said about Regus Office Space. Anyone who has been inside a Regus office will know that they are of extremely high quality. They are smart, with good furnishings and all the latest gadgetry, as you would expect from the world’s largest serviced office company. Hardly suprising when you consider some of their blue-chip clients such as Google, Glaxosmitkline, Nokia, IBM, and Accenture (formerly Andersen consulting).

Clearly, with an impressive client list such as that, and with offices in 900 locations they must be doing something (a lot - Ed.) right. But do they charge too much for their office space? We have found some individuals, and it must be pointed out these are SME’s not corporates, who have suggested that Regus offices tend to charge extra for some services. Choregus would say that this is standard business practice for serviced office companies.

“One thing I would say is investigate the costs for everything - they are very good at surprising you with additional charges” This related to Regus charging to have the company name plate in the reception. Small fry to a multinational, but a tangible cost to an SME? But finished with the comment..

“In summary, it was worth the high price and I would use them again.”

So, to this SME it was ‘expensive, but worth it’.

Another Regus occupant commented…

“At the moment, they seem to offer the flexibility that I need and are within budget”

What do you think? Have you had an experience of a Regus office, good or bad. Or Avanta, MWB or anyone else for that matter.

If so, please leave your comments in the section below, we would love to know your views. Perhaps you are an office provider - we would also welcome your input.

We have a virtual office space at a Regus in San Francisco. We sent notice of our intent to cancel at the end of 2007 but missed the THREE MONTH cancelation deadline by two weeks. They refuse to negotiate an early termination and have us on the hook for another year. Read the fine print on the Regus contracts. It’s very one sided and they follow it to the letter

I would argue that this is good business practice - to follow contractual agreements. I know you may feel agreived but even you explain in your argument that you missed the deadline yourself.

I am a recent Ex General Manager of Regus and was responsible for up to three centres in the Uk please feel free to ask me any questions surrounding the local serviced situation or indeed Regus and their current strategy.
