Regus Chertsey office review

December 23rd, 2007 | by Samantha Middleton

regusHere I will explain my thoughts about the Regus offices in Chertsey, Surrey. It wont be like other Office space serviced office serviced officesserviced office reviews that you may find on the web. Its from the hip and follows no particular formula :-)

*If you just want to see the centre in action, you can skip to the video at the end of this review.

Getting there

Even though the offices are not on most sat-nav devices, its not that difficult to find. From junction 11 of the M25 its about 3 minutes drive over a couple of small roundabouts.

Regus Chertsey office building Whats around the place?

In short, not much. There is a hospital next door, so any injuries are catered for, but as for local amenities, its very lacking indeed. There is a typical Regus canteen in the building, which is strange as they are all outsourced. The canteen is pretty bad in my own opinion with a very bland offering of food and its also quite expensive. There is quite a decent truckers cafe about 10 minutes drive down the road which offers a great egg and chips! As for shops - forget it. Woking and Chertsey town centres are both about 10 minutes away and whilst nice little towns, too far away to be considered for quick visits.

What about the building?

A great, new looking building is very impressive upon reaching the end of Hillswood Drive. The very spacious car park allows comfortable parking that is never far away from the entrance doors on either side. Going through the glass-fronted main entrance, you are welcomed by a large reception desk and open plan staircase to the upper floor. There is a waiting area to the right and the cafe area (security controlled!) to the left.

The offices here are the expected Regus-style - very smart and functional - and there are plenty of them. They can of course be configured to whatever you choose, so thousands of combinations can be achieved. Kitchen areas are also the same as most other Regus offices in the world and again are functional, but not inspirational.

Summary

As office buildings go, its very smart indeed - one of the best that I have ever worked at, set in a very nice leafy area. Yet the lack of amenities within walking distance makes for a slightly surreal setting - luxury and futuristic whilst remote at the same time.

Should you work in this centre or base your business here? If Office space Chertsey serviced officesChertsey is local to you, or you have easy access to juntion 11 of the M25 - yes. Commuting to this location however could severely dissolution you if you require a working environment that inspires and gets the best out of you.

There is so much more information on this page than on the Regus sites! Thanks.

I am the General Manager at the Hillswood Drive centre and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and show you the facilities and offices available. We have recently refurbished and upgraded the onsite restuarant and the feedback we are receiving from clients both old and new is extremely favourable. I am confident that you will be impressed with the centre and can be contacted at anya dot behan at regus dot com.
