Pinnacle Tower to be the tallest office tower in London

January 10th, 2008 | by Simon Rattray

The Pinnacle tower office planned for Bishopsgate, London is one of the most ambitious projects ever to be developed. It will be, when completed, the tallest tower in the City.

It is project to cost an estimated £1.2 billion. It will be a collossal 300 hundred metres in height and will contain a whopping 10,000 square metres of office space.  This is as tall as the authorities would allow, any higher would mean that the building would endanger aircraft flying over.

There are a number of logistical problems associated with this project; narrow roads nearby, construction at a great height not to mention being located in a busy and bustling part of central London. In addition to this there is the issue of noise pollution as there are residential areas close by. The site is due for completion in the summer of 2011.
