Grangefield Estates have submitted their plans for a 40 acre site in Ardwick, located near Piccadilly station.

There will be 4m sq ft of space available for offices, 2000 new homes and a hotel.

Features include a pedestrian bridge over Mancunian Way that aims to connect the city beyond the ring road. There will also be 300,000 sq ft of space dedicated to health and medical facilities.

The scheme was developed in conjunction with Manchester City Council and New East Manchester in line with its regeneration programme for the area.

It is estimated that the scheme will allow for large economic growth in the region and provide plenty of jobs for the east of Manchester.
