London Is Europe’s No.1 Business Location

According to the annual survey by European Cities Monitor (ECM), London is still the number one city for businesses to locate in Europe.
Moreover, it has increased its lead over the second city in the list, Paris. It is number one for over half the criteria used in the survey including, easy access to markets, qualified staff, telecommunications and even external transport links. This reinforces what many observers have been noting that in recent years the city of London has been the real driving force behind the UK economy.
The fact that London is number one explains why earlier this year it was reported that office space vacancy rates were at their lowest in London for five years.
