Free Manchester office space for Chinese firms
May 27th, 2008 | by James Jones |A successful incubator project for Chinese businesses has been extended for a further three years.
Based at Manchester Science Park, where the businesses are given free office space for three months, it provides support for tech-based companies from China that will perhaps invest in to Manchester city as they grow and find their feet in the UK.
Originally due to run for only three years, ending in 2009, the extension shows just how successful the project has been and that hard work from MIDAS, Manchester Science Park, Manchester City Council and the Northwest regional Dev. Agency have worked so far.
The office space given to the Chinese companies is rent free for three months and even subsidised for the rest of a 12 month period. After this, investment in to the city is hoped for by way of taking office space.
A reversal scheme is also in place for British companies in China, as previously reported by Choregus.
