eoffice website review
January 14th, 2008 | by Simon RattrayFollowing on from our earlier reviews of other serviced office providers, we are today reviewing the office eoffice.net site.
So lets start with the home page…
This is unlike many of the other serviced office index pages, in that they have created 12 separate panels with information and pictures. eoffice describe themselves in a press release to have…”design-led serviced office centres” and recruited Wayne Hemmingway when opening their Manchester office. They appear to be looking at the no-frills end of the market ala easyoffice but with a strong emphasis on design and technology.
This will be to satisfy the demand from tech savvy entrepreneurs who need City centre office space, but at affordable prices. So the style of the homepage may be a deliberate branding ploy rather than any attempt at functionality. All the relevant information is on the homepage about the services they offer.
I click on the “serviced office” link, then select the Manchester link and I am sent to this page…
As you can see on this page there are no pictures of the office and no map showing the user where it is - just a description of the office plus bullet points about the services available. The eoffice prices and further info are in a .pdf which, when clicked on, opens up in another window.
This is taking the user away from the site and is not conducive to a conversion.
eoffice have the following page accessible when you click “Manchester” from the homepage as opposed to “serviced office” as in the first example. As you can see it has a map and also a fantastic virtual tour. One thing that both pages are missing is an enquiry form. This would make it much easier for users to submit an enquiry.
Overall the site is laid out clearly and simply. The pdf documents could be made into separate pages to stop the user navigating away from the site and it would be most definately a positive step to include enquiry forms at all stages of the user journey.
