Edinburgh office rates up

November 26th, 2007 | by Samantha Middleton

Edinburgh office spaceEdinburgh’s office rental value will jump through the £30 per square foot marker for the first time ever in 2008 because of the lack of business centre and office space reports Jones Lang LaSalle.

Grade A serviced office space will rise even through a slowdown of the economy due to the fact that there are only 3 places where larger tenants could theoretically base themselves. Currently, the rate sits at £28.50 per square foot for the best office space in the city. In relation, Glasgow sits at £27.50 and is not expected to increase as much as 5% as Edinburgh is expected to do.
