Regus Covent Garden serviced office space review
January 20th, 2008 | by James Jones |
Office space in Covent Garden, London, is highly sought after, especially by media companies. In the centre of Covent Garden is Long Acre, a road that runs through the middle of the area that is a hive of business activity. Smack-bang in the middle of this is ‘90 Long Acre’ which houses several companies including a floor that is occupied by Regus.
Turning up to the impressive building and entering, you are greeted with a reception that is always staffed well. After taking your Regus visitor card, you are directed left and then immediately right to the Regus reception desk, rather than the shared one that you first encountered.
Once you are in the Regus area, you are greeted with the usual decor and uniforms that you have seen elsewhere in the Regus empire. This helps you to feel comfortable in your surroundings, should you have used the company before.
After walking past reception, you are instantly greeted with what I would say is a busy environment - much busier than any Regus business centre that I have visited before. The corridors seem less wide and rooms seem more compact than elsewhere, which must be driven by the demand from with being in a desired location such as Covent Garden.
I actually like the ‘busy-ness’ of this serviced office area, as it actually looks like people are busy working, rather than the gliding of staff that you usually see in other Regus environments.
The corridors also form a kind of maze effect after walking my way around and there are kitchens and seating areas in very good locations should you want an ad-hoc meeting with other residents. As you would expect, kitchen areas are the same as they would be in Texas or Edinburgh. Its always good to know where the cups are!
Overall, perhaps, very strangely, one of my favourite Regus locations, due to the busy surroundings and the excellent outside entertainments - a number of coffee shops and pubs are literally 20 steps away from the front doors of the building.
Should you use this as your office? Most definitely. If you can reach the location easily then this reviewer heartily recommends that you choose this Regus serviced office space in Covent Garden.
