Computeam first to sign at new UBC Liverpool centre
June 24th, 2008 | by Simon RattrayNorth West-based IT services business Computeam is the first company to take space at the new United Business Centre
serviced office centre in Hurricane Court near
Liverpool John Lennon airport.
Headquartered near Manchester, the firm has chosen to set up a branch operation in Liverpool to service its expanding client base in the city. Computeam provides IT consultancy, training and service support to public and private sector clients.
Owen Napier, Commercial Director at Computeam, said: “We have traditionally worked with schools in Liverpool, providing IT support services on a contract basis. As we have expanded our remit to include more strategic consultancy and training, we felt it was essential to move into prestigious premises that conveyed the right company image. The professional meeting and conference facilities at UBC Liverpool are perfect for client meetings and training courses. Plus we are supported by reception staff and the whole UBC team, creating a great first impression for our clients.” Owen also cites good transport routes and accessibility to the city and the ability to add office space as needed as instrumental in the decision to move to UBC.
Jane Erasmus, Business Centre Manager for UBC Liverpool office space, added: “It’s great that Owen and his team are the first to occupy the centre. We are particularly pleased that they will be making full use of our conference and meeting facilities, something which is a real asset to our client occupiers.”
