Capita takes 54,000 sq ft of office space

January 8th, 2008 | by Adam Lucking

Capita, the office outsourcing giant, has signed a deal which will see it taking 54,000 sq ft of office space in Manchester after acquiring the contract to supply customer and administrative services to Co-operative Insurance.

There is a five year lease on 26,000 sq ft across two floors at Lee House and a ten year lease on 28,000 sq ft also across two floors at Churchgate House on Oxford Road. The rent is around £15 per sq ft.

Chris Mulcahy, an advisor to Capita, says that Co-operative Insurance wanted high-quality space with value for money, with flexibility and was immediately available.  These requirements narrowed down the options but Lee House and Churchgate House soon became the best option.
