Canary Wharf set to go green
March 10th, 2008 | by Adam Lucking |The Canary Wharf Group have got together with the Mayor of London and the Clinton Climate Initiative to help in their vision for environmentally friendly buildings.
Reducing the carbon footprint of new buildings has always been Canary Wharfs intentions, however they are now looking at bringing its existing buildings up to the environmental objectives.
Chief executive of Canary Wharf Group, George Iacobescu, said that they recognise the importance of sustainability both in terms of construction and ongoing use of buildings. They also aim to lead the industry in the field of green construction.
