Ask seal £20m deal for Central Spine Development

ask_logo.gifAsk Developments has sealed a £20.5m agreement with Bank of Scotland Corporate to go towards payment of the Central Spine development in Manchester.

The money is for the purchase of five and a half acres around Grand Island, the former home of British Telecom, adjacent to Piccadilly station.

In addition to this the funds will also cover the purchase of another site where two car parks will be built. There will be a tower constructed to accompany the existing Beetham Tower. Overall the site will consist of 3.2 million square feet of commercial space.

The site has been seen as one of the most promising areas for strategic development by the city council.
